Hello all, it's been almost six days, which is awhile.... since then I've worked a lot and done other randomness. Saturday morning I worked, and in the afternoon I went to Jessie's graduation party in Steven's Point, and Blair's graduation party in Wausau. Monday and Wednesday was the typical bowling, although I did manage to bowl 5 strikes in a row, which was pretty awesome, although I threw the next ball directly at the gutter. On Tuesday night Matt and I traveled out to Mosinee to watch Becky’s concert with the Mosinee Community Band, which was pretty exciting. Afterwards we went to go rescue Kim, who ended up at the house of some high school kid in the suburban hell that is Weston. I can’t remember the name of the “band”, but Christopher was playing trumpet for their first concert, which was in one of their parent’s garages. They played some pretty interesting covers of pretty classic ska songs, but they were promptly shh-ed at

10pm by a mom in order to comply with the Weston sound ordinance. On Thursday was the always fantastic Woodchucks! Yay for Woody, who is my favorite. Friday night I worked until 9, but I was able to catch the last bits of the Summer Kickoff laser show at the 400 Block, and then watch a movie with Kim, Becky , Casey and Matt. On Saturday, Matt and I watched some Miami Vice with my dad, which is always an interesting experience. More work on Sunday… then celebrated Father’s Day with some lasagna.
Hmm… I think that about covers the week. Somewhere in the mix Kim, Chris, Becky, Matt and I had a movie night with the Shawshank Redemption, which reminds me to say that at the next movie night we should watch another amazingly good movie, The Usual Suspects.
I’ve also discovered a new hobby thanks to Julie’s sister Jill. On Thursday I was introduced to volunteering as a dog walker at the Marathon County Humane Society. Becky, Natalie and I walked dogs again today, and I think I’m going to keep up with

it a few times a week. It’s pretty good exercise if you walk a few dogs, and pretty relaxing. Plus, you let some needy dogs get outside. When we were at the shelter today a stray cat was being brought in, and I definitely think it’s the prettiest cat I’ve ever seen. I would really like a cat to live with me in my mom’s basement… so that’s my next campaign.
I’ve updated the gallery with the newest pictures, so check those out. Also, feel free to post your own if you have a forum account.
Some quick announcements:
We’re trying to organize a group to buy tickets for the Better than Ezra/Violent Femmes concert, so that we can all sit together. Also, at this point Summerfest is happening for the weekend of July 7-9th….
I think that’s it for now, have fun.

Hello all, I just wanted to post some pretty pictures of the river. Matt and I walked along it last night from the Library to the park and then around to the mall, where we saw Alex... and then we wandered around Stewart Park on the upper East side. Summer is lovely, eh.

Hello all again, I have a few short things to mention. Chris' senior recital was pretty awesome, I'm still pretty astounded that he can memorize so much music and be able to play so many complicated songs by memory one after the other, way to have talent! ... Plus congrats to him and the other graduating seniors, yay for the end of high school.
I had a dream that Matt and I decided to elope at a Shopko, which happened to have a Catholic church attached to it. Becky was the maid of honor and Barn was the best man, and I remember waking up and actually saying "What the hell".
Also, yay for bowling tonight (and Monday actually)... Monday I bowled a 166 (perhaps because it there was a biblical theme and I was Pontius Pilate), which I think is a personal best. We also got to hang out with Dylan's girlfriend again, which was a good time. Tonight we had ethnic names, and I was Ulrike. Dylan and I decided that it's our goal to bowl a 200 by the end of the summer, and hopefully that'll happen.
Hmm... otherwise. Nothing much else is going on besides work. I've finally finished up training, so now I think I'm pretty much going to work like a normal person, which will be nice.
I think that's it for now.
PS. Hey you. What's going on? You're not the same anymore.

Today was my day off for the week... and it was spent mulling about, but I did accomplish a few things. I woke up late, and wandered around until I remembered that I still hadn't accepted my Financial Aid offer, so I figured that out. I then decided to wander downtown and go to the library. I realized that there are a lot of people who go to the library at peak hours, but do not yet realize that there is a shiny new(ish) parking ramp right across the street. So instead of accepting that there are no parking spots, they take up space in the driving lane, which prevents other people from entering the lot or leaving it. (Is going to the parking ramp, paying a quarter for a half an hour and walking across the street all that bad?!!)
The other night Matt and I watched Lawrence of Arabia with his sister because she was trying to study for her history exam. It was actually a very good movie, even though I did doze off toward the end. I love movies from the 60's; they have this... quality to them. And I remembered the other brilliant movie from the 60's ( the same years as Lawrence of Arabia actually - 1962), The Counterfeit Traitor... if you ever feel the need to watch very long but very informative and interesting movies, those are the two to go with.
Anyway, the reason I went off on that tangent is that I decided to check out T.E. Lawrence's book, Seven Pillars of Wisdom. It looks pretty interesting, and hopefully I can actually finish it in a month... considering that I have 3 other books in progress.
After actually making it out of the library parking lot I came home and watched "Million Dollar Baby". It definitely deserved all the hype it got, not surprisingly I cried several times. But I suppose that it goes without saying that any movie with Morgan Freeman in it is damn good, although some people I know seem to think that Will Smith is better...
Regardless, that was my day in a nutshell, not very exciting, but I suppose it was nice to be lazy. One other exciting thing that I must mention is that all the construction workers appeared to come out of the woodwork yesterday and somehow accomplish a lot in what seemed like a day. Finally my exit is open going southbound, woooooot. I suppose that most people absolutely hate construction season, but I think that all the things are done, even though they can be irritating at times, are truly for the best for Wausau. Yay for progress.
Now it is time to nap, or read. Probably nap.
Go to Christopher's concert tonight, 7pm at the Conservatory.

Woot for Blair getting her art featured at Exhibitour, as well as for Chris playing in the little jazz band. Twas a good night, you should be sad if you missed it!

Posted new pictures of the Campfire/Cookout at Matt's house in the gallery. Feel free to make an account and post your own pictures of whatever... I think that while 2 hotdogs were lost in action and the hamburgers may have been questionable at first, it all turned out pretty tasty... even though Natalie put mushrooms on her brownies...
Eventwise: Open house at the
Downtown Grocery today, as well as Exhibitour from 5 to 8:30 downtown! Also, Holy Name is having its Summerfun this weekend, and that means tasty cheesecurds... and you know it's summertime so every Wisconsinite has a Blood-Cheesecurd level of .95! Plus my sister has to volunteer at the cash register at Summerfun, so if you bother her enough she can probably sneak you something under the tent flaps.
