Random...
Exactly 20 years ago today the Chernobyl Disaster occured, that's my random fact for the day. The accident in the nuclear plant released 100 times more radiation than the atom bombs dropped on Japan, and there's still not much being done to fix it. Here's an interesting article on BBC about it. Cheerio.

Crazy Catholics
BBC article on condom use... at least one high-ranking Catholic thinks the use of condoms is okay to prevent the spread of AIDS. I'd call that progress. In other news, I'll fully admit that sometimes I can be a bit of a hypocrite, but I try not to be, try to better myself and do what makes sense to me. But some people are ridiculous hypocrites and can be two-faced in the process. Bah. Yay for leaves on trees! And the grass on lower campus is lovely as well. Summer is fun.

Arrr...
Hello all... I know I've been lazy and I still haven't fixed the IE version of the layout, but I have a solution, everyone should simply download Firefox and forget about Internet Explorer... it would be so much simpler. Anyway, it was an interesting weekend, which involved turning my dorm into a rendition of my life in the 5th grade. After buying a supply of Play Doh and coloring books, we later realized that the dorm was pretty pathetic with markers strewn around the floor, and puppy poster on the wall, and the Spice Girls... I even invited the neighbors over to see how amazing it all was. Although, I suppose I didn't have the fridge in the 5th grade. Anyway, I updated the gallery with some new photos... most of the photos I've been adding are in the Spring Semester gallery. That's it for now I think... perhaps more to come later this week. Have a good one!

It's a pirate's life for me!
My pirate name is:
Dirty Jack Bonney
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!
Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.

So, it's been awhile, and I've been way too lazy. First of all, I know the site looks like crap in Internet Explorer, and I'll get around to looking into that sometime, perhaps this weekend. Otherwise, it's been an eventful few weeks... The weekend before last I went to Madison to see Matt's sister, which involved seeing ducks on State Street and hugging random men. There are pictures in the gallery, but I have yet to label all of them. This past weekend was Easter weekend, so I was back on Thursday night. I'll try to remember what happened... Thursday I was lazy and watched a movie, Friday involved church, then going to see "The Wild" with a crowd and then eating approximately 18 pancakes at Denny's (and 6 of them were free!) But I didn't eat all 18... I think there were 5 or 6 of us eating them altogether. Later that night Natalie, Matt and I wandered to WalMart, where we randomly saw Barn and caused lots of trouble, like turning Easter Grass into Easter Ass and testing suntan lotion. On Saturday Matt and I biked for 3 hours-ish, from my house to the downtown area and back, where I got a lovely tan/burn. That night Kim, Becky, Steph, Matt and I hung out at the Brew for a bit, played late-night Bocce ball on the 400 block, then harassed Reid at his house and forced him to come to Perkins with us. Easter involved church, eggs, and making tshirts at Becky's house (Mine has a dinosaur!) Monday... I wandered around aimlessly for most of the day, and then back to Eau Claire. It's been a very interesting few weeks. I'm too lazy to type anymore, but hopefully sometime I'll fully update the gallery and such. And perhaps fix the tables on this page....But now I must sleep.

And I'm Catholic!
So today there were pro-life demonstrators on the campus mall. They weren’t just pleasant demonstrators that stated their point and made sense… instead they were angry-as-hell Christian fundamentalists that were yelling at every student who happened to walk by (“This country has to RETURN to JESUS”). Anyway, I was thoroughly disturbed by them for several reasons. First of all, they thought that college students, who in general tend to be pretty liberal, would appreciate their demonstration which included pictures of dismembered fetuses and guitar playing, as they held up their bibles defiantly telling us we were all godless heathens. Later, they apparently broke into song, which turned out to have nothing to do with abortion whatsoever, as it was titled “It’s not Okay to be Gay”. I’m also pissed off because they were all male Christian fundamentalists… I suppose I have to admit that it’s unfair to say that men cannot state their opinions about abortion, because I guess everyone technically has the right to stand in the middle of a campus and piss and moan about godless women, but I can’t say that I agree with them. I honestly think that abortion is a woman’s choice, and because a man does not have to go through 9 months of pregnancy and all the physical and emotional pain that goes with it, he should never have the final say about such a thing. And I also disagree with bible-wielding men who insist on telling the women around them that they are godless, when it’s not their bodies that are in question. Again, not that men can’t have opinions, but I’m definitely pro-choice… Anyway, I suppose that was ridiculously random, because I tend to not actually post rants about my opinions, but extreme Christians piss me off, and apparently every other EC student on lower campus today. I think that’s it.

In case you were having a good day
Here's something scary, as the British government has been discussing what would happen if the H5N1 strain of the bird flu mutated to a form that would affect humans. I just found the article disturbing, so I thought I'd share. On a cooler note, a pyramid was found in Mexico. On a happier note, post in the forum and gallery!

Forum/Gallery
'Ello again. I hope you all are finding the gallery/forum to be interesting, and you bloody well post more. Although I suppose that means I have to post more too... Anyway I just wanted to point out how hilarious it is to watch the troll in slideshow mode.

So there have been changes...
Righto, here's my weekend. Obviously things look a bit different, and there are lots of new additions. I deleted the forum... again, but for good reason, because it was dying, but a new one is now installed (so you do all have to remake your accounts). But, you definitely need to remake them, because there is a totally new interactive gallery with all of the old pictures in it and new pictures to look at. Also, more importantly, if you have a forum account, you can upload up to 2 megs of pictures into your own galleries in the gallery for others to look at and whatnot. So please remake your accounts and participate. I hope you enjoy, eh.
