Hello all again, as usual it's been awhile. Since the last post Christmas has come and gone, but I actually had a very nice one, as I was surrounded by many friends and family. My mom's brother's and sister's families came up for Christmas, so the tiny house was filled with about 10 additional people for the holidays. Most notably, I met my cousin Alex for the first time, and even though I'm generally not a baby person, she is adorable. I'm also generally not a "spending lots of time of the family" kind of person, but for some reason I really really enjoyed hanging out with them this year. My uncle Russell, who still lives in South Africa, even offered for me to come and stay with him for a period of time if I like... I don't know if that will ever materialize into anything, but it would be very exciting if it did. I have yet to update the Lucky-Eleven galleries, but I have uploaded a selection of the pictures onto
Facebook, so they can be viewed there.
Otherwise I've been working like crazy, strangely enjoying my job more and more, and pushing myself to prepare to return to
Eau Claire. Although I'm very excited to head back to school, I think I'm going to miss
Wausau too, and especially my friends. Ah well, I'll be back often enough to work, so things should work out. I'm also very excited to go hang out with those in
Eau Claire though.
Hmm, as usual I think long and hard about blog posts but they never materialize into anything that
particularly matters. Regardless, I wanted to point out a website so I could complain about Saddam Hussein's execution a little.
The BBC has a really interesting collaborative page on his execution, which is worth a look. As for myself, although I admit that he did terrible things and deserved to be punished, he was tried in a politicized court. He should have been sent to the Hague and tried for crimes against humanity. Bah. I found the entire thing pretty disgusting.
Anyway, I think that's all I have to say for today. Time to see some friends. But... I must say I agree; some girls can be really dumb, and sometimes I don't understand them at all. But as it was said, "
Do to other as thou wouldst they should do to thee, and do to none other but as thou wouldst be done to". I suppose we all forget that sometimes.
